1. Introduction

The document provides user notes for the ISP4010 firmware that supports the QLA4010 and QLA4010C HBAs.

2. Downloading the QLA4010/4010C Firmware

Perform the following steps to download the QLA4010/4010C firmware from the QLogic Web site (http://www.QLogic.com):

1. Select Drivers, Software, and Manuals.
2. Under HBAs, select the HBA, either QLA4010 or QLA4010C.
3. Select the desired operating system.
4. Click the Download link.
5. Read the license agreement and click Agree.
6. In the File Download dialog box, click Save this program to disk.
7. In the Save AS dialog box, select a location on your system's hard disk, then click Save to save the firmware file, qla4010.dl.

3. Installing the QLA4010/4010C Firmware

Perform the following steps to install the QLA4010/4010C firmware:

1. Start SANsurfer iSCSI HBA Manager: click Start, select Programs, select the install group (the default is QLogic), then click SANsurfer iSCSI HBA Manager.
2. Select your HBA.
3. Click the HBA Options tab.
4. From the Select Options list, select Firmware.
5. Click the Select Firmware to Download button.
6. Click Yes on FW Download Display.
7. When the Download Firmware dialog box displays, click Browse. The Open dialog box displays. Select the firmware file, then click Open.
8. Click Save.
9. Follow the instructions to reset the QLA4010/4010C.
10. Restart the host PC for the operating system to recognize the new firmware.

4. Known Issues

This firmware runs on version 3 of the hardware and does not support previous hardware versions.
